Top Draw Animation's Official Website is Now Online, with TONS of New 'Class of the Titans' Content and News.

Top Draw Animation -- the animation studio in the Philippines that collaborates with Canada's Studio B Productions (official website here) to animate 'Class of the Titans' -- has finally launched their official website.

A quick exploration of the site reveals TONS of new 'Class of the Titans' content -- especially gorgeous artwork -- that should make fans of the show very happy:

  • Information about the show's second season can be found under In-Production. 'Class of the Titans' is categorized under Coming Attractions using an icon with new artwork most fans have probably never seen before. Clicking on the icon reveals various statistics and information about the show, with the most interesting being that Top Draw Animation will start their part of production on October 16, 2006 and end on October 24, 2007.

  • Clicking on the icon mentioned above also reveals a new piece of composite artwork with coloured versions of the heroes as drawn by Season One senior character designer Kenny Park and for which pencil drawings were originally posted by director Brad Goodchild on his blog over the summer.

  • Clicking on From the Top and then the image displayed for 2005 will reveal what is probably the most gorgeous piece of 'Class of the Titans' artwork -- the image itself is a beautifully drawn and coloured composite of the studio's projects from 2005, with 'Class of the Titans' taking centre-stage in the piece. The cartoon's part of the image has the seven heroes striking heroic poses on an island in the clouds, with the Typhoeus, Scylla, a Minotaur-clone, and a giant snake surrounding them. Also included is a ghostly green image of Cronus in the night-sky with images of Atalanta, Jason, and Narcissus as constellations against a sunset, but you have to see the artwork for yourself to witness how amazing it is.

  • Under Newsletter are two brief publications from April 2006 and July 2006, both of which contain some 'Class of the Titans' content. The April 2006 edition features two blurbs about the show (note that they make the mistake of referring to Achilles as Archimedes and refer to the kids as Titans, which was changed during Season One's production), plus two new images -- one is the full image from the icon under In-Production mentioned earlier, and the other is a new special image that seems to depict the kids in the Philippines. The July 2006 newsletter simply has the same composite artwork from the Coming Attractions section.

  • Also in the April 2006 newsletter is news that the show had been sold to Philippines' GMA-7 for distribution and may be debuting there in the Tagalog language in mid-2006. A quick search of the channel's website, however, doesn't seem to show signs of the show being aired, but admittedly, we don't know much about that. If you do know more and/or from the Philippines, we appreciate you giving us a shout at age.of.silicon@gmail.com. Thanks.

That's all there is for now, but for a new website, it's certainly a lot of new amazing content. Go check it out and be sure to visit regularly as the site grows, and as mentioned before, if you are a fan from the Philippines and can tell us more about the show there, please let us know.
